Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Enora ("Enora", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Enora iOS app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information you provide

Your mood check-ins and journal notes, and the patterns Enora finds in them, are stored and computed only on your device. They are never sent to us or to any AI service, and they are never used in AI prompts.

To personalize your daily reflection and readings, Enora asks for a name (any name or nickname works), your birth date and place, and, optionally, your birth time. If you use Synastry, you can add the same details for the people you compare charts with. This information is stored locally on your device (including a private app group container so features like widgets can read it). It is not uploaded to us, and we do not maintain user accounts.

2. What we do and don't send off your device

Your check-ins, journal, mood patterns, free daily reflection and other on-device features are computed entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is transmitted for these.

Birth place search. When you type a birth place, iOS sends the text you type to Apple's location search service to find matching cities and their time zones. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy, and we never receive it. The place you pick, with its coordinates and time zone, is saved only on your device.

AI features are optional and premium. Before the first AI request, Enora asks for your permission; nothing is sent until you agree, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in the app under More > AI and Your Data.

When you request an AI reading, Enora sends derived astrology: computed placements (sign, degree, retrograde), aspects, whether a birth time is known, and universal calendar dates.

When you use the Enora chat, Enora sends the same derived astrology plus the messages you write and the recent turns of the conversation, so the AI can answer you. Anything you type in the chat is sent, so please avoid sharing sensitive personal details there. Enora does not automatically remove personal information from your messages.

Enora does not send your name, your place of birth, your coordinates, your timezone, your raw birth date, your journal notes or mood check-ins, or any device or contact identifier, unless you type them into the chat yourself.

3. How AI readings and chat are processed

When you use an AI reading or the Enora chat, the data described above is sent through our secure proxy, hosted on Cloudflare, to a third-party AI provider that generates the response. Enora itself sends nothing that identifies you, though a chat message can contain whatever you choose to write in it. We do not log the contents of your readings or chats, and we never use this data to advertise to you or build a profile of you.

We share this data only with the providers needed to run the feature (our proxy host and the AI provider). The AI provider processes it under its own terms and may retain it to operate and improve its services, so please avoid sharing sensitive personal details in the chat that you would not want a third-party AI to process. This processing may occur on servers outside your own country. Information that stays on your device is never transferred.

Enora's chat is an AI, not a human being, and it always identifies itself as an AI, in keeping with AI-transparency and companion-chatbot laws. Enora does not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. AI-generated content can be wrong or incomplete, so please use your own judgment. Enora is not a crisis service; if you may be in crisis, see our Safety & Crisis Support resources.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information; we never receive or store your card details. We receive only the anonymous purchase status needed to unlock premium features on your device.

5. Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Enora uses no remote or push notification servers, so no data is sent to deliver them.

6. Analytics and tracking

Enora includes no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. It does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it does not ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission. This website uses no advertising cookies and does not track you across sites.

To count visits to this website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not fingerprint visitors. We see only totals, such as page views and which site a visit came from. The app itself contains no analytics.

7. The launch list on this website

Before Enora is on the App Store, you can leave your email address on this website to hear when it launches. We keep only your email address, the date you added it, and which page or link you used (for example, the link in one of our social media profiles), in a database in our Cloudflare account.

We use it only to email you about Enora's launch and, now and then, about what's new in Enora. We never sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing. We keep it until you ask us to remove it or we close the list. To be removed, reply to any of our emails or write to enorasupport@gmail.com, and we'll delete your address.

The launch list is separate from the app: the app has no accounts and never sees it.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control. Enora has no user accounts, so there is no account to delete, and deleting the app removes your birth details, check-ins, journal and chat history. You can also delete individual journal entries, or start a new chat conversation to clear the current one.

Two kinds of data are kept in your device's secure Keychain so that Enora's usage limits still apply after the app is reinstalled: the profile edit counters (when and how many times birth details were changed, not the details themselves), and your most recent Full Reading, Daily Transits and Year Ahead reading, each with the time it was written and the chart positions it was written for, so it can be shown again until a new one is available. These stay on this device only: they are not synced to iCloud or sent to us, but they can remain after you delete the app. Erasing the device (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings) removes them. We do not hold a server-side copy of your chart or your readings.

9. Children

Enora is intended for people aged 16 and older, and the app does not let someone under 16 create a primary birth profile. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Since your check-ins, journal and chart data are stored only on your device and we hold no account, you can exercise most of these rights directly by editing or deleting your data in the app (see section 8 for the readings kept in the Keychain). 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this site.
