The short version: Enora is built privacy-first. Your birth details stay on your device. Your free daily readings are computed on-device. For AI readings, only derived astrology (your placements and aspects) is ever sent. Your name, exact birth time, and location never leave your phone. We show no ads, use no trackers, and never sell your data. Our AI chat always tells you it is an AI, not a human.
This Privacy Policy explains how Enora ("Enora", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Enora iOS app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information you provide
To build your chart, Enora asks for your birth date, time, and place, and optionally a name or the details of people you compare charts with. This information is stored locally on your device (including a private app group container so features like widgets can read it). It is not uploaded to us, and we do not maintain user accounts.
2. What we do and don't send off your device
Your free daily reading and on-device features are computed entirely on your iPhone. Nothing about your birth data is transmitted for these.
When you choose an AI reading or chat, Enora sends only derived astrology: computed placements (sign, degree, retrograde), aspects, whether a birth time is known, and universal calendar dates. Enora does not send your name, your place of birth, your coordinates, your timezone, your raw birth date, or any device or contact identifier.
3. How AI readings and chat are processed
When you use an AI reading or the Enora chat, the derived astrology described above is sent through our secure proxy, hosted on Cloudflare, to a third-party AI provider that generates the response. Because we send only non-identifying geometry (never your name, birth time, or location), these providers cannot identify you from it. We do not log the contents of your readings or chats, and we never use this data to advertise to you or build a profile of you.
We share this data only with the providers needed to run the feature (our proxy host and the AI provider), and we send them nothing that identifies you. The AI provider processes it under its own terms and may retain it to operate and improve its services, so for the free-form chat, please avoid sharing sensitive personal details you would not want a third-party AI to process. This processing may occur on servers outside your own country. Information that stays on your device is never transferred.
Enora's chat is an AI, not a human being, and it always identifies itself as an AI, in keeping with AI-transparency and companion-chatbot laws. Enora does not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. AI-generated content can be wrong or incomplete, so please use your own judgment. Enora is not a crisis service; if you may be in crisis, see our Safety & Crisis Support resources.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information; we never receive or store your card details. We receive only the anonymous purchase status needed to unlock premium features on your device.
5. Notifications
If you enable the daily reading reminder, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Enora uses no remote or push notification servers, so no data is sent to deliver them.
6. Analytics and tracking
Enora includes no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. It does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it does not ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission. This website uses no advertising cookies and does not track you across sites.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control. Enora has no user accounts, so there is no account to delete, and deleting the app removes your birth details and readings. Certain abuse-prevention counters (for example, edit limits) are stored securely in the device Keychain and are not personal profile data. We do not hold a server-side copy of your chart to delete.
8. Children
Enora is intended for people aged 16 and older, and the app does not let someone under 16 create a primary birth profile. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Since your personal chart data is stored only on your device and we hold no account, you can exercise most of these rights directly by editing or deleting your data in the app. For any request or question, contact us at enorasupport@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this site.
